PETE Way, bassist with long-running rock band UFO, has died at 69.
The dad of two, who also played for Ozzy Osbourne, passed away in hospital after being seriously injured in an accident at home in June.

Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler, 71, called him “one of the characters of metal”.
Ozzy, 71, said he had “great memories” of Way.

In 2017 he published a warts and all autobiography, A Fast Ride Out of Here: Confessions of Rock’s Most Dangerous Man.
Tributes poured in for the musician which described him as a showman who was a ‘huge influence on late 70s, 80s rock and metal’ bassists.

Way, orginally from Enfield, north London, leaves two grown-up daughters Zowie and Charlotte.
His Facebook page said:” He sustained life threatening injuries in an accident two months ago but fought hard until finally succumbing to those injuries.
“Pete Way was a much loved and highly regarded figure among rock fans, critics and fellow musicians alike.”
