This is the moment a “UFO” was spotted in the sky over Coolock on Christmas evening.
The circular object was spotted by Dublin Live reader Dave at around 6pm this evening.
Dave told Dublin Live that at first he thought it was a meteor but it soon became apparent that it was something else.
The object flew towards Dublin Airport, stopped for about two minutes and then vanished.
Dave said: “I know it wasn’t a drone, too big to be, and it’s not a plane. That’s certain. There was no noise from the engine.
“It came from Howth direction across the sky. From a distance it was orange in colour and long in shape and when it got to Clonshaugh, it was circle and orange in colour with lights going around it in a circle.
“Like an orange light with small orange lights around it. When it stopped for about two minutes, there was no movement and then the lights just faded away and it was gone.”
This is not the first strange sighting in Dublin’s skies in recent months.
In November, there were sightings of UFOs in Crumlin and at Dublin Airport.
Dublin Live have contacted the Irish Aviation Authority for comment.
