Anonymous posted a video on YouTube saying NASA was on the verge of making one of the greatest announcements in history: the discovery of Alien Life. After the video was posted—the world went berserk.
Even though everyone got excited when Anonymous released a video saying that NASA was about the finally unveil the existence of aliens in a hugely viral video, the space agency has confirmed it will not announce the existence of alien life.
The viral video—which was posted on an account associated with the hacktivist group claimed that NASA was on the verge of making one of the most important announcements in history.
Using numerous sources—some of them from ancient code apparently—and by twisting a couple of words here and there, the video posted by Anonymous used a wide range of topics to suggest that the American Space Agency was about to announce it had found Alien life.
However, despite the fact that the video posted by Anonymous was very interesting, NASA has confirmed that it still has not found any evidence of alien life.
Thomas Zurbuchen, a Swiss-American Astrophysicist and the associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at the agency’s headquarters in Washington responded to the rumors posted by Anonymous.
“Contrary to some reports, there’s no pending announcement from NASA regarding extraterrestrial life,” Dr. Zurbuchen wrote on Twitter.
A video based on a couple of quotes and a game of twisted words
“Are we alone in the universe? While we do not know yet, we have missions moving forward that may help answer that fundamental question.”
“Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are specifically searching for evidence of alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound, unprecedented, discoveries in history.”
That’s basically what anonymous used as their main reference while making claims NASA was about to announce alien life. However, Zurbuchen was in fact speaking out about future missions like the Mars 2020 rover, the Europa Clipper mission. Zurbuchen also spoke out about the discoveries made by the Kepler telescope and how it discovered thousands of planets around distant stars and the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope and how it will help astronomers search for aliens in the universe by analyzing the composition of atmospheres on different alien worlds. Basically, Zurbuchen said that NASA has got several great missions up their sleeve, and some of them MIGHT help mankind find evidence of alien life.
But everything is rotating around Zurbuchen’s word choice which may not have been the ideal at that time, which is what caused all of this.
Responding to the allegations from Anonymous, NASA sent a statement: “While we’re excited about the latest findings from NASA’s Kepler space observatory, there’s no pending announcement regarding extraterrestrial life. For years NASA has expressed interest in searching for signs of life beyond Earth. We have a number of science missions that are moving forward with the goal of seeking signs of past and present life on Mars and ocean worlds in the outer solar system. While we do not yet have answers, we will continue to work to address the fundamental question, ‘are we alone?’” said Laurie Cantillo, NASA Lead Communications Specialist, in a statement emailed to different news agencies.
However, we must admit that Anonymous—which by the way is not related in any way to our website—and even us here at Ancient Code are right when saying that a growing number of experts like scientists, former astronauts and many others have stated that they believe alien life exists out there.
I mean, just look at some of these quotes regarding alien life:
One of our favorite quotes comes from Dr Brian O’leary, a former NASA Astronaut, and Princeton Physics Professor:
“There is abundant evidence that we are being contacted, that civilizations have been monitoring us for a very long time. That their appearance is bizarre from any type of traditional materialistic western point of view. That these visitors use the technologies of consciousness, they use toroids, they use co-rotating magnetic disks for their propulsion systems, which seems to be a common denominator of the UFO phenomenon.”
Franklin Story Musgrave, an American Physician, retired NASA astronaut who worked on the design and development of the Skylab Program and the only astronaut to have flown missions on all five Space Shuttles had very interesting things to say about life elsewhere in the cosmos:
“Statistically it’s a certainty there are hugely advanced civilizations, intelligences, life forms out there. I believe they’re so advanced that they’re even doing interstellar travel. I believe it’s possible that they even came here. It’s logical to presume the universe must have other life in it and by virtue of association that we could be visited at some point.”
“…I’ve been asked (about UFOs) and I’ve said publicly I thought they (UFOs) were somebody else, some other civilization.” — Eugene Cernan, Commander of Apollo 17. Quote comes from a 1973 article in the Los Angeles Times.
“If you extrapolate on the planets they discovered, there are a trillion planets in the galaxy. That’s a lot of places for life,” Shostak said, as quoted by ABC. “We know that the majority of stars have planets,” but what “fraction of stars has planets that are more like the earth? It might be one in five.” “The chances of finding it I think are good and if that happens it will happen in the next 20 years depending on the financing,” he added in written testimony, according to BuzzFeed.” (source)
It was a little different when James Lovell on board the Apollo 8 command module came out from behind the moon and said for everybody to hear: ‘PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THERE IS A SANTA CLAUS.’ Even though this happened on Christmas Day 1968, many people sensed a hidden meaning in those words. [B] ‘PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT THERE IS A SANTA CLAUS.’ – Astronaut James Lovell, Apollo 8. December 25th, 1968.
